General Discription:-
Greensborough bypass before linking up with the Metropolitan ring road. The first ½ of this ride is surprisingly well treed with some parts of the trail so bushy you could actually forget that you are riding alongside one of Melbourne’s major freeways, while the second part of the trail see you riding through the back of industrial complexes. Sometimes the Ring Road is hidden behind large concrete barriers while other times there is just a wire fence between you and the freeway.

The first 1.1/2 kilometers or so of this ride are all downhill followed by quite a steep little stretch of uphill and then a slightly easier climb for the next 2 kilometers. After this the ride is flat or gently undulating
There are lots of other bike paths that cross over this trail and I will point them out as we ride along. So you could customize your ride to be use several different trails if you liked.
Highlights include:-
Bridge over the Ring Road
The only real highlight is the bridge over the ring road. It is not something you would get to see every day so take a moment to stop and have a look.
